Day 1 - Chicago to Seattle
So - I've finally made it to the Emerald City. One of the first things I noticed about this place is that there are rocky outcroppings on all sides - some of them even have white stuff on the top. I was quite curious, so I Googled it - and I believe they are known as "Mountains". I think that Illinois should look at investing in some of these - they look pretty cool.
It's strange how when you drive in a new city, you are never quite sure on how they interpret some of the road rules - like do they go right on red. Initially, I was unsure, but as time went on, I realised that they do go right on red. The only difference, I believe, is that you have to wait for an oncoming car before turning in front of them. They sem to have many other nuances to their driving which makes this city quite unique (well except for Bellville and SA Taxi drivers).
Well - time for bed. I hope to have more interesting insights from the birthplace of Starbucks and the place where Punk grew into Grunge tomorrow.
