Day 3 - Seattle to Vancouver
Having learned my lesson in Seattle, I didn't hire a car - I chose to walk instead. Well it seemed a good idea at the time... I covered several miles on foot and experienced more of the city that way.
Vancouver is a really interesting city - very cosmopolitan. I must have heard at least 8 international accents. There were Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, German, British, Australian, American, Russian... oh, and there were also 2 Canadians - Eric and Johnathan.
The sun made a 3 minute and 22 second appearance this afternoon - it was quite an event. There was a bunch of teenagers who just stared - you know - the way you do when you see something great for the first time.
This afternoon, I practiced getting in and out of the bedside cabinet - I figure I am going to be stuffed into a space half that size for 11 hours tomorrow, so I better be prepared.
I'll probably be offline for the next day or two - even if I can get online, I'll probably only have pictures of the inside of an 767-300 cabin, but I will be back - on the other side of the world
